      Granny Flat Garage

      Building a garage with your Granny Flat is a great way to maximise your space.

      Did you know garages aren’t counted in the 60m2 Granny Flat space?
      This means, if your block size allows, you can build an attached or detached garage alongside your Granny Flat, without compromising on the 60m2 living space.

      What is the maximum size a garage can be?
      There is no set maximum size for a garage. Your maximum garage size depends on your site conditions, and is calculated using the land-use ratios, landscaped area and total available building space required in the CDC. Most blocks are able to fit a single (20-30m2) garage.

      One thing to consider when wanting to build a garage behind the main house, you must be able to show that a car can drive from the front of the property, to the garage.
