PROPERTY OWNERS BRIEF:
To build a standard cost effective Granny Flat in the available space after demolishing the rear structures. Also to build a carport for both the Granny Flat and the main dwelling to replace the demolished carport.
Given that this was a corner block we recommended that we demolish the garage and give the Granny Flat its own street entrance and off street parking in the attached carport. By incorporating a few design elements into this Californian Bungalow (such as brick facade, colonial windows, high ceilings, down-lights and air conditioning) we transformed this new house into much more than just another Granny Flat.
Modify the Wentworth design to suit the property and avoid the main sewer line that ran through the back of the property using standard inclusions and features.
